Did you know you could check your tyre tread at home? While it’s always good to visit a professional if you’re unsure, there is a way busy parents can get peace of mind just by nipping out on the drive or street to the car.
The video below, which can also be found on our YouTube channel, shows me checking my tyre using a 20p coin. Yes it’s THAT simple. While many cars have tread wear indicators these days, the 20p check is a little bit more visible in my view. You could even take older kids out to the car and get them to do it!
